SWOT ANALYSIS
Strengths
• THE AMI SOLEIL management team are skilled and trust worthy volunteers that are financially independent and fully committed to helping children that live in impoverish communities
• AMI SOLEIL Foundation will have a strong interactive web presence with detailed information photographs and videos about each programs activities
• A well equipped school right in the middle of the community so kids can walk to
• Selective curriculum- interactive, fun, offer real life application
• Teaching method- flexible and accommodating by observing, assessing and supporting individual strength, area of interest so kids enjoy learning (Montessori style)
• hands on learning. Less theory and more fun projects and tutorial games
• Reinforcement programs- community lectures and parent meetings for better parenting, and role models will contribute both to the students and the programs success
Weakness
• AMI SOLEIL has limited resources- unable to help all the poor children from the communities we wish to serve
• The lasting gift program in Le Cap, Haiti face the challenge of Electricity problems; which limits ability to use electrical devices that can benefit the program activities (food refrigeration, internet access for research and free resources and teaching material, slow local and long distance communication e.g.)
• Local teachers need tailored training & Montessori teaching skills
Opportunities
• For example, in Haiti, Labor is very cheap and the local currency is very low when compared to developed countries; this facilitate low starting cost and overhead
• The nuisance change in your pocket-bag may offer a child clean bottle of water and or food for a day. Offering something more can help AMI SOLEIL secure the lasting gift programs for children without nothing in impoverish communities
• AMI SOLEIL Lasting Gift Programs offer children without nothing 100% sponsored education, nutritional meals, clean clothes, shoes and basic medical care
• Parents with little means may receive partial sponsorship for their children and pay a small membership fee
• Those fees will help to cover the overhead cost for sustaining that program
• School accessibility eliminate need and cost for transportation
• In the process, AMI SOLEIL lasting gift program will create work opportunities for both skilled and unskilled adults in the communities that it will server
• Volunteer opportunities for local young adults will, lower the programs cost, keep them off the streets while leaning good habits (practice of safe sex, good Hygiene and citizenship) and useful skills (to become more discipline, efficient, confident, independent)
